AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that defies usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Unique weapons
- Survey Corps steed
Latest Free Story Addition
This patch also brings the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature techniques: Naoe introduces a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.

The series earlier included a 2020 crossover story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
